Great to be back racing with NATSKA at Whilton mill yesterday as harry now joined the class 11 race league as he had completed his novice practice sessions. A great day starting at the back of the grid as racing Novice saw Harry Finish the day In Second place over 4 heats which was a superb result and not expected as the rain Hammered it down from midday to the end of heat 4 making conditions horrendous . NATSKA ROUND 5 SHENNINGTON 8th May 2021 Class 11/10 only.
Great days racing at Shennington on a new track to us .Chucked it down with rain …..all day again .Harry completed his second race starting at the back as novice so will now be gridded properly at round 6 and lose his novice plates . He did pick up a penalty today for overtaking on a yellow but pushed on.. We are not sure of the positions in the heats as there were lots of problems with the lap time transponders because of the wet as heat one showed him as DNF but he did . We think his finish positions were . HEAT 1 Started 16th Finished 9th ??? HEAT 2 Started 20th Finished 11th ??? HEAT 3 Started 17th Finished 5th ??? HEAT 4 Started 19th Finished 6th ??? Still waiting on confirmation on his final place result for his class at the moment . Also picked up my 2nd place Trophy for last weeks Round 5. Natska Round 6 Camberley 29th May 2021
Kart Cam Footage And Harry takes the chequered flag in 4th Place for that day at Camberley for Round 6 Of the Natska Championship. A superb days racing in our first dry race day for this year, so much better without the rain, He got off to a great start still starting at the back of the grid as novice due to a penalty at Shennington last round but made up for it today starting in P21 and managing to finish P10 in heat 1. Heat 2 with a little adjustment to the kart started P17 and finished 5th also claiming fastest Lap with a 33.71 Heat 3 starting 20th on the grid tore around and finished 3rd missing out on fastest lap again by 1 millisecond Heat 4 starting 16th again saw him do some outstanding overtaking to finish 3rd again beating his personal best with a 33.04. which meant he finished 4th overall for the day in class 11 and will also mean he will be grided at the next round and not have to start at the back of the grid . He is definitely getting the feel to trust his tyres in the dry and push his kart to the limit which is great to see. Thanks to Kieran Crawley at MSPORT RACING for the tips, worked a treat. NATSKA ROUND 7 FULBECK 12th June 2021 TRACKSIDE And Harry takes the chequered flag At Natska Round 7 Fulbeck Kart track Grantham with Barnwell Kart club, In 5th place. on a huge grid of 28 drivers in class 11 Great days racing starting grided for the first time after losing my novice plates, although dad got set up wrong in heat 1 so just did not have straight line speed when needed and a tangle with a novice at the first chicane saw us both come to a standstill leaving me with a DNF. Heat 2 was better started 11th on the grid, better set up and managed to finish 7th , Heat 3 was a strange one starting 7th on the grid, most of the race was run under batternburg flags due to crashes and with penalties to other drivers harry managed to finish 5th Heat 4 was much better starting 17th managed to secure 6th place leaving Harry with an overall 5th place for the day …..also got a chance to test out the rebuilt trailer for the first time . 🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎harryhurstracing.com Roll on round 8 Bayford Meadows

And harry takes the chequered flag finishing 8th for the day at Bayford Meadows sittingbourne for round 8 of NATSKAs championship, Sunday 27th june , It was a split day of highs and lows with Harry having a great first 2 heats for the day finishing 3rd in Heat 1 & Finishing 1st in heat 2. All was going well in Heat 3 until 2 laps from the end whilst Harry was in 2nd place he had engine failure and the kart cut out leaving him with a DNF which was gutting. Getting the kart back to the awning did get it started again so sent him out for Heat 4 and again all was going well ,in 3rd place on the 4th lap he thought there was another problem so came off into parc fermme to save any further engine damage resulting in another DNF for heat 4. Could he have carried on , who knows but he made the decision to retire from the heat which did cost him his podium but was thing about the National championships in 2 weeks so sort the engine out properly. He had a great days racing with some great times smashing his PB on his 2nd visit to the track . Well done to the rest of the barnwell team for their wins and to thomas forbes for his 3 heat wins and a 2nd to take first place in CLASS 11. Also thanks to Tony, Rob & Sam for getting harry to the grid whilst i was on marshall duties .Now looking forward to the 3 day nationals at Fulbeck on the 9th 🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎harryhurstracing.com

What a great weekends karting we have had at Fulbeck kart club for the NATSKA nationals championship with Barnwell kart club. Great people to spend it with who all seemed alot calmer than me on the surface. Whether they were as stressed and nervous as me , who knows. Lots of great racing throughout the classes and very proud of harry who managed to Finish 5th overall for the weekend and finish 6th in the natska championship even with all the covid restrictions in place meaning he missed a few rounds .
Heat 1 started 4th finished 3rd Heat 2 started 17th finished 6th Heat 3 started 14th, Had engine failure and had to retire 3 laps from the end. Heat 4 started 8th finished 5th Heat 5 started 2nd finished 4th Heat 6 started 10th finished 6th Finishing 5th place for the 2 days racing. Shattered on the Monday but well worth the effort and cant wait for the new season to start in Sept at Camberley with his new number
