The 2nd september saw harry take part in his first championship race at brentwood karting. ROUND 2 of their race league. With only 20 mins practice on this track we knew it was going to be a learning curveas in his practice he was a second slower than the average track times and on qualifying it showed as he only managed to get to 10th position on the grid although there was only 0.943 seconds separating him from the top.
In the first heat all was going well and hed got himself up to 6th place but got an ABC for an inside overtake which spun the person so harry had to give the position back which lost him some places and ended up finishing 9th after all the hard work gaining.
Heat 2 was much better where they swap the pack around and saw harry start in 2nd which went to 1st on the 1st lap to which he continued to hold until the 9th lap when one of the front runners took him on one of the corners. And then with what can only be described as a track rookie mistake went to wide on another bend forcing him to slow allowing 2 more drivers to pass. He gave chase but in the end couldnt get the overtake to gain his places back.
so harry started the B final after all his points were tallied and in 5th place. But another rookie error saw him only mange to finish the final race in 6th . Very proud to hold his own on a new track and manage a new personnal best lap time of 35.848 which is a good time to keep up with the regular driver in this championship. so onwards and upwards hopefully to round 3 on Sunday 9th of september followed by his mclaren championship at rye house on Monday 10th september.Once again thanks for all your support .

September 9th 2018 saw Harry enter ROUND 3 of the Brentwood race league and straight away saw him show more confidence on the track punching in a 36.072 putting him 5th on the grid for qualifying and with a great start saw him gain some places and hold on to finish heat 1 in 3rd place. Another great race in heat 2 saw harry pushed wide on the long straight nearly off track forcing him to break which in turn made him slow down allowing all to overtake him going uphill. A great fightback and harry managed to claw a few places back to finish 6th in heat 2 meaning Harry had made it through to the A final with a good points total. Unfortunately harry got to the 6th lap of the final and had to retire when something got in his eye forcing him off track , was gutted for him but all in all a good day at the office and alot of determination shown on track for this round taking him up to 13th in the race league out of 28 as he missed the opening round.Go team 303 www.harryhurstracing.com onwards and upwards to round 4 on the 16th September.

15th September Harry was in ROUND 4 of the brentwood kart league and after a 9th place finish in qualifying separated by only .875 of a second from top place knew he had some work to do in Heat 1 but a great start saw him move up to 6th on the first lap and with some great overtaking saw him finish Heat 1 in 4th place from 9th . Heat 2 saw him start first on the grid in a tough group of drivers but he did manage to finish in 3rd place being overtaken later on by 2 previous championship winners. With all the points tallied up Harry made it through to the A final starting 7th on the grid. A very tight final saw him move up a place to 6th but mistime his braking causing himto hit a driver from behind slowing him down to much to keep position leaving him at the back of the pack . But a bit if determination saw him move back up to 7th place where he started. Very pleased with his day at the office and confidence on this track growing every visit.

Harrys delight at going from P9 to P4 in heat 1 . Brentwood championship race league ROUND 4 .

Round 5 of the Brentwood race league saw Harry take to the track in what seemed to be a monsoon and very heavy rain leaving him qualy in 7th place. Heat 1 saw all of them take caution in the wet and harry span on one lap with someone spinning into his side and somehow harry got an abc ???? which took him to the back but did mange to claw 2 positions back to finish heat 1 in the same place he started, 7th place.Heat 2 saw him start in 2nd placeand a good all round heat with one spin leaving him with a third place finish. Harry started the Bfinal in 5th place. He manged to get up to  2nd on the first lap but another spin later on put him back down to 4th but carried on chasing managing to finish in 2nd place. Some great racing in very tricky conditions .

Another jig for finishing 2 nd in B Final in round 5
