NATSKA ROUND 1 CAMBERLEY 16th SEP 2023 Junior Rotax Class 15 And Harry takes the chequered flag for NATSKA ‘s Round 1 At Camberley Kart track, in 2nd place for the days racing . Hot and sunny day for Round 1 with a’lot of tight racing throughout, also drivers showing great speed on this tight fast track. Heat 1 🟒 Started on Pole . Very fast heat with the lead changed hands a few times between the front 4 who had pulled a little gap. Harry managed to take the chequered flag finishing 1st by 0.54 of a second and 1.33 seconds between the 4. This was also with 14 drivers receiving a 10 second penalty ( including Harry ) for going to fast under battern burg flags during the race . Heat 2 🟒 Started 19th . Finishing in 3rd place. A great race whilst I was on marshall duty with harry doing a lot of overtakes to chase from near the back, Managed to get to the front finishing 11 seconds off the leaders. Heat 3 🟒 Started 10th . Finishing in 4th place. An eventful heat with Harry getting a great start off the line pulling into second place by the end of lap 2 . Then disaster struck half way through with him overshooting turn 3 a little, going onto the grass and losing a few places dropping down to 6th. He did manage to pull back 2 more positions to bring it home in 4th place. What he didn’t know though was his fuel catch tank hose had come loose covering his legs in fuel spraying out from the tank as he was racing, also on his helmet visor. He thought the spray was coming off of the Kart in front, so when he came into Parc fermme he had to jump out and rinse off his hands and legs from fuel sting. We then realised he had snapped the kart chassis at the front end bumper bracket support. So this ended the days racing for us with a broken chassis and a fuel soaked suit. Heat 4 πŸ”΄ DNS ( did not start ) Great result at the end to Finish the day with Harrys highest result in Rotax with a P2 on the Podium. harryhurstracing.com/ https://www.purebalanceaccounting.co.uk/ https://alroys.com/ https://rainbowsofhitchin.co.uk/

NATSKA ROUND 2, CLAY PIGEON DORSET. 30th SEPTEMBER 2023 And Harry takes the chequered flag for round 2 in 6th place overall for the day. Out of 24 drivers was a great result as he was only 1 of 5 on the hard choice of tyre. A penalty in heat 2 was the only thing which stopped him finishing the day in 3rd. The weather stayed dry all day which was a change, and only started raining at the end whilst packing up. A great days racing on a very abrasive track with practice not going as planned . Testing the New hard tyres there was just no grip front or rear which made to a lot of sliding and harry only manging only 16th fastest , so time for set up change. HEAT 1 🟒Started Pole – Finished P1 🟒 After a dodgy practice barely scrubbing the top layer of the new tyres off he got off to a great start all be it a few drifting moments, 2 laps in the tyres switched on and picking up more speed and control, managed to maintain a consistent lead to the finish line in P1 and also managing 3rd fastest lap . HEAT 2 🟒Started P18 – Finished P12 🟒 This was Harrys Round he received a 10 second time penalty which was carried over to his final results ,but still a great finish from near the back with lots of overtakes and great racing although a lot of flags this heat. HEAT 3 🟒 Started P9 – Finished P3 🟒 A great start off the line and great speed saw harry close the gap on the final few laps to miss out on 2nd by .40 of a second bringing it home in 3rd place and claiming fastest lap . HEAT 4 🟒 Started P10 – Finished P7 🟒 Another good heat with some great overtakes and great pace, with the batternburg flag out again spoilt the heat a little not being able to make up more ground but still another great result. All in all a lot learnt today with a new set up and new hard tyres, taking 3rd fastest for the day and only 1 axle to be replaced 🏎🏎🏎 Harry was unfortunate to receive a time penalty of 10 seconds in Heat 2 due to overtaking under yellow, but to be fair it was so windy the flag was blowing was sideways on 1 post and the marshall in the other post was waving the flag facing the wrong direction. so both drivers didn’t see the flag until they were next to the post which was to late resulting in both drivers being penalised when harry gave the place back, very unfair in my opinion as when they go past the post and come up to the next sector the flag is then waving in the correct direction. But decisions are decisions and we have to abide by them, but judging at the video footage i feel an unfair decision was made. onwards and upwards to round 3 at Whilton mill in 2 weeks time🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎 harryhurstracing.com/ https://www.purebalanceaccounting.co.uk/ https://alroys.com/ https://rainbowsofhitchin.co.uk/

Β And Harry takes the chequered flag in 3rd place overall for the day . 5 degrees when we arrived which counted for a very cold track which stayed very cold for the rest of the day but thankfully sunny. Big grid of 26 drivers made for a great days racing with a few hiccups but great pace also claiming 3rd fastest for the day . Unfortunately taking a hit in Heat 2 damaging bumper brackets, bent track rod and steering column as he tried to avoid someone rolling backwards after they crashed. But all fixed for final heat 3. Heat 1 Started 9th 🟒 Finished P3 🟒 Great pace making up 6 places and claiming 3rd fastest lap Heat 2 Started 9th 🟒 Finished P10 πŸ”΄ Again got off to a great start but had to swerve off track and onto the grass to try and avoid a crashed kart rolling backwards, but got hit causing damage also dropping him down to last place. It was only the first lap so he had plenty of time manging to then gain places back finishing in P10 and claiming fastest lap for that heat . Heat 3 Started 19th 🟒 Finished P7 🟒 Great race and fortunate to have a battern burg flag which helped him to make places up from near the back of the grid . He would have finished in 5th for this heat but it ended under a red flag so positions get counted from the lap previous. Heat 4 Started Pole🟒 Finished 1st 🟒 Off like a rocket for this heat manging the lead from start to finish with great pace crossing the line with a massive 8.56 second lead .🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎 These results meant he finish the day in 3rd place overall from 26 drivers also taking 3rd fastest for the day, Some nice points added to this years championship Rotax standings . Great days freezing cold racing onwards and upwards to Bayford Meadows in 2 weeks time for Round 4. This is a track we haven’t raced on before in high power so should be fun 🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎 A great day trophy wise in the household with Harry & Holly . Gonna need some more new shelves harryhurstracing.com/ https://www.purebalanceaccounting.co.uk/ https://alroys.com/ https://rainbowsofhitchin.co.uk/

And Harry takes the chequered Flag in 8th place for the day . This was NATSKA’s round 4 at Bayford Meadows kart track Sittingbourne. On what was our first time racing on this track in high power.
An horrendous morning with the rain coming down for practice and Heat 1, Only drying out after lunch and being able to go our slicks on a slight damp track. The same for Heats 3 & 4 in between showers wetting and then drying the track. Scratching the head all day weather to put onto wets and then slicks and then wets was definitely not a stress buster. Glad to get 3 heats on slicks before the heavens opened for the rest of the day.
Heat 1 started 9th 🟒 Finished P12 πŸ”΄ After a hectic practice with harry saying he had no grip front and back managed to do a full switch up on wet set up for him to give it a good go. Starting in 9th and would have stayed in 9th but only for getting drop down bumper penalty after over shooting turn one and dislodging his bumper , so dropped 3 places with the time penalty. Managed to sort the front end out but couldn’t get grip to the rear end.
Heat 2 started 11th 🟒 Finished P6 🟒 With the rain stopped, track drying and slicks on he had a much better race . Although on the harder slick tyre put in some good lap times trying the find the right running temp managing to make up 5 places.
Heat 3 started P1 🟒 Finished P2 πŸ”΄ Had a great race with Lukas for the lead . Both drivers had fastest lap times of 48.45 and was pleased the way his tyres was performing against the softer mojo’s.
Heat 4 started P19 🟒 Finished P12 🟒 Starting way up the back of the grid for the final heat was a bit surprised to see the race start before harry had even finished coming around the final bend to the start line . By this time his race was over as trying to get through traffic left him no chance of catching the front rows. Still managed to gain 7 places but finished 15 seconds off the leader picking up 3rd fastest lap .
All in all a kaotic day weather wise, on the plus side, maxxis tyres are still doing ok speed wise picking up 4th fastest for the day with the top 3 on the softer slicks, a lot learnt on wet set up but still a hell of a lot more to learn . A great days racing in ever changing conditions, another trophy won before the NATSKA winter break with lots of testing planned and a “BIG ANNOUNCMENT” to make for our sponsor partners in the New year for HARRYHURST RACING . 🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎
HEAT 1 Started P9 🟒 Finished P12πŸ”΄
HEAT 2 Started P11 🟒 Finished P6🟒
HEAT 3 Started P1 🟒 Finished P2πŸ”΄
HEAT 4 Started P19 🟒 Finished P12🟒
And Harry takes the chequered flag in what was a challenging first race day back from last year . Missing all his winter testing made for him being a bit rusty, and then the rain came 🀣. This was Round 6 of NATSKA at GYG ( Glan Y Gors ) in north wales and the second race of the year , missing Camberley earlier in the month due to his engine being rebuilt, So a big rush to pick up his engine on Thursday to get the kart prepared for the race Saturday.
The rain started to fall during practice and boy did it start falling , easing mid afternoon to return for the last heat .
Heat 1 – Starting 20th on the grid he had a great start managing to finish in 10th place only to receive 2 penalties , one for a drop down bumper caused by being ran off track causing his bumper to dislodge in the mud, and the second for overtaking under yellow flag, but video footage shows it was for someone coming back onto track who went off. also a bit harsh as there were 3 other drivers that past him but only pulled Harry in ???. with a 15 second penalty dropped him back down to 18th place.
Heat 2 – Starting 8 on the grid Had a steady heat to finish in in 4th place on a still wet track
Heat 3 – Starting 20th on the grid he had another great round on a drying track, made full use of his worn wet tyres to clock up some faster laps and gain 13 places to finish in 7th place.
Heat 4 – This was when the fun began , starting 6th on the grid with a slightly damp track we decided to leave him on the worn wet tyres hoping that it would stay dry and give him max grip. 2 had tried slicks the heat before but had finished last with no grip. disaster then struck whilst sitting on the grid as the rain started to fall again so by lap 4 the track was once again soaked, which meant he had absolutely no grip on worn tyres so had to just concentrate on getting round in one piece managing to stay on track and finish in 10th place.
This meant Harry finished the day in 11th place overall out off a grid of 28 which we were happy with as he had to also carry over his penalty round . Good bit of wet practice for his first time back this year , onwards and upwards to Round 7 Fulbeck in 2 weeks time 🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎
Trackside and onboard footage to follow
And Harry takes the chequered flag in 5th Place for the day from a Grid of 31.
This was Round 7 of NATSKA championships at Fulbeck kart track Grantham, and we were blessed with some sunshine for the whole day. This was a great result with some tough starting grid positions to put his rebuilt engine to the test, also managing to get 3rd fastest lap time for the day .
Heat 1 – Starting 26th on the grid he had to battle from the back after a collision on the opening lap forced him onto the grass to avoid it, but head down managed to make up a massive 9 places to finish 17th with some rapid pace.
Heat 2 – Starting a better 3rd place on the grid got off to a flyer going into the lead on turn 1 only for a battern burg flag to come out later for a few laps bunching the pack up again, and only on the final lap making a small mistake on turn one opened the door to Scott hayward to creep through at the last minute on the second chicane and clinch the 1st place.
Heat 3 – Starting 17th on the grid had another rapid heat making up 10 places to finish in 7th place and grab second fastest lap .
Heat 4 – Starting 12th on the grid saw some great overtaking and battling to bring it home in 5th place gaining 7 places.
Overall rapid pace for the day and spot on set up meant he finished 5th place overall on a big grid. Some great racing throughout the day with his rivals and well done to a rapid Evan for another round win . Onwards and upwards to a 2 dayer at Whilton Mill in 2 weeks time.
Heat 1 – P26 – P17 🟒
Heat 2 – P3 – P2 🟒
Heat 3 – P17 – P10 🟒
Heat 4 – P12 – P5 🟒
And Harry takes the chequered flag in 1ST place for NATSKA Round 9 at Whilton mill this weekend in what is his first race win in junior Rotax🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎🍾πŸ₯‚.
What a great weekend of racing . This weekend covered rounds 8 & 9 with a good 9th place for round 8 on Saturday and a cracking 1st place for the Sunday in round 9 .
ROUND 8 . This was a challenging day as we were using some well scrubbed in registered slick maxxis tyres that were definitely on their last legs that we had to use up. Whilton also has changed their track adding a new chicane before the final bend which took him a bit of time to get used to. A huge grid of 34 today
Heat 1. Starting in 20th place managed to climb 6 places to finish in 14th.
Heat 2. Starting in 13th place managed to gain 4 places to finish in 9th place .
Heat 3. Starting in 28th place had a great round climbing 17 places to finish in 11th place
Heat 4. Starting in 4th place lost 3 places to finish in 7th place.
Finishing the day in 9th place we knew something had to change as he was a full second off the pace with the worn tyres, so it was time to call MUM. who came to the rescue with the help of the grayling team who managed to get his less worn mojo tyres to us for the Sunday Round 9 as we were camping at the track for the weekend. We were hoping to use the maxxis for the 2 rounds but it would not have ended well . So many thanks to Stacey and team grayling for bringing hope.πŸ™πŸ€£.
ROUND 9 .
And this is where our luck changed, and the set up began to work with us getting off to a flyer in heat 1.
Heat 1. Starting in 21st place shot off gaining 16 places to finish in 5th place.
Heat 2. Starting in 8th Place again had a great battle with the front pack to end the heat in 2nd place.
Heat 3. Starting in 22nd Place had another great battle but got up in a crash causing a drop down bumper which gained him a 5 second penalty and slowed him down just before the chicane meaning he finished this heat in 14th gaining 8 places.
Heat 4. Starting in 7th place got a great start and by mid race had got in front and pulled a 2.5 second gap which probably had his heart pumping. we could see he was losing a little time through the new chicane but held out to take the race win with second place being just 1.7 seconds behind. so congrats to Harry for his first race win in junior rotax and hopefully a few more to come .
Great racing throughout the weekend with loads of thrills and spills, crashes and smashes but luckily no serious injuries, although harrys rib protector and got badly bashed apart so if anyone would like to sponsor harry a new rib protector please drop us a message.🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎
lots of great onboard & trackside footage to follow so keep an eye out for the link on here and youtube.
Special thanks to wifey and team grayling for saving Sundays round 9 race.
Round 8 .
HEAT 1 . Started P20 – Finished P8 🟒
HEAT 2 . Started P13 – Finished P9 🟒
HEAT 3 . Started P28 – Finished P11 🟒
HEAT 4 . Started P4 – Finished P7 πŸ”΄
Round 9 .
HEAT 1 . Started P21 – Finished P5 🟒

HEAT 4 . Started P7 – Finished P1 πŸŸ’πŸ†
And Harry takes the chequered flag with a Crash, bang, wallop.
This was Round 10 of the NATSKA championship and luck was definitely not on our side today. Pace wise we were in the top ten but incidents did not go our way.
This was our first trip to Hooton park in Liverpool with Rotax so we knew it would be a bit of a learning curve, not knowing the gearing set up didn’t help but by heat 2 was sorted. With 3 crashes throughout the day, getting overtook on yellow flags with no penalties given not helping and a lot of dodgy driving saw us come away with a lot of damage to side pod, front bumper and bars and a bent chassis to sort out now before Round 11 &12 at ROWRAH.
HEAT 1. Saw us off to a great start starting 21st on the grid of 28 managed to gain 11 places to finish in 10th place. Missing out on a few places as he was overtaken on yellow flags but was missed by Marshalls.
HEAT 2. Starting 6th on the grid. Went off the track and into the tyre wall from the start line whilst avoiding a spin into turn one. This dropped him down to last place and well behind. Managed to catch up and gain back 10 places to finish the heat in 17th place 1 lap behind the winner.
HEAT 3. Starting 18th on the grid, this was our best heat of the day having great pace managing to gain 13 places to finish the heat in 5th place, also loosing places again by being overtook on yellow flags but not being seen by Marshalls.
HEAT 4. Starting 9th on the grid, got off to a great start again but was took wide onto the grass avoiding another crash on turn 3 to then be dropped down to last place again and must try and play catch up. Managing to catch the backpack up and gain back some places then had to avoid another incident of brake checking to guide him into the track barriers so back down to last place again and gaining a drop-down bumper penalty in the process. Pulling 2 places back he managed to finish in 19th place.
From trackside it there seemed to be a lot of crazy driving today and very messy on a narrow track. Lots of damage to sort out.
On a plus side, pace was good and still finished the day in 11th place which should definitely change if we ever go back to the track for another round .
HEAT 1 Started 21st 🟒 – Finished 10th. 🟒
HEAT 2 Started 6th 🟒 – Finished 17th. πŸ”΄
HEAT 3 Started 18th 🟒– Finished 5th 🟒
HEAT 4 Started 9th 🟒 – Finished 19th πŸ”΄
P1 And P2 For the 2 rounds of racing 29th & 30th June 2024
What a fantastic weekends racing up at Rowrah (Cumbria) for NATSKAS Rounds 11 and 12 of the championship. So much great driving with a ton of overtakes made sure harry took P1 for Saturdays round 11 and then a P2 for Sundays round 12 .
Our tent even managed to stay in one piece and not get destroyed this year with some calmer weather for the weekend.
Saturdays round 11 started off and stayed wet and rainy until the last heat where the track dried out but with our wet set up spot on and harry tearing round the track made for a great day’s result.
SATURDAY ROUND 11,
Heat 1 – Started 20th place and made up a cracking 16 places to finish in 4th place taking advantage of a pile up at the beginning of the race.
Heat 2 – Started in 8th place had another great start to finish the heat in 3rd place
Heat 3 – Started in 22nd place managed some great overtakes to make up 17 place and finish in 5th place.
Heat 4 – Starting in 6th place had a great battle to bring it home in 2nd place on a dried out track .
Great racing all day managing also to be second fastest for the day .
Sunday started off cloudy but dry, which is how it stayed for the whole day which was good to stay on fresh tyres for the whole round.
SUNDAY ROUND 12 ,
Heat 1 – Starting in 28th place he had a beast of a round making up 23 places to finish in 5th place.
Heat 2 – Starting in 2nd place, had a great battle with 1st and 3rd for the whole heat with nice clean racing to finish and hold onto his 2nd place
Heat 3 – Starting in 16th place battled through the pack to finish 4th place .
Heat 4 – Starting 14th place managed to make up 9 places to finish in 5th place again .
This meant with his consistent results finished round 12 in P2 which also takes him up to 3rd place in the championship standings with the national finals being held in 2 weeks’ time at Ellough park kart track in Beccles, Norfolk. A great weekend’s racing with no penalties picked up and no damage done. Roll on the final rounds 13 and 14, being just 10 points off second place in the standings.
A special thanks to our sponsors who have continued to support us throughout this years racing and hope to have you onboard with your support for the championship seasons to come.

Season championship in 3rd Place πŸ†
What a fantastic result and a great year’s racing visiting 10 different tracks racing 12 rounds & one 6 heat sprint weekender. Lots of laughter, tons of stress & spare parts along with a heap of trophies with a total of 45 drivers taking to the grids over the year, also help offered from different teams with spares parts needed over the weekend which was much appreciated. So, thanks go out to the Handley’s, Haywards & Webbs for their parts which will be replaced 😊
The final sprint round took us to Ellough park kart circuit which we, and I think the whole grid have never raced here before so was a learning curve for everyone but a curve which everyone picked up quite quick. A fast track which lots of fast turns to tear around.
It was also our most costly round with a ton of damage caused by some, shall we say mishaps by other drivers with one driver trying to take a shortcut over the top of harry causing damage to our radiator, exhaust and axle. Also, another 2 axles were bent over the weekend along with 2-wheel rims, bearings and bearing carrier which kept me very busy throughout the weekend, but we managed to get to the all the grids for the sprint so was worthwhile in the end.
On the Friday practice day, it didn’t start to well when on Practice 1 he was squeezed out on lap 4 into a tyre wall cracking a wheel rim and bending the axle so I was hoping it wasn’t a sign of things to come, but for some heats it was.
SATURDAY
HEAT 1. Same as practice one, started in P24, got off to a great start but this time on Lap 3 took a hit and tangled with other driver on a fast hairpin to bend another axle, crack another rim and smash his camera off the kart and having to retire the kart so got a DNF on Heat 1
HEAT 2. Fixed and back on the grid in P4 had a grid race to peel away from the pack in a group of 5 and take the win to finish in P1.
HEAT 3. Starting in P6 again got another great start manging to gain a few places at the front to finish in 3rd place.
HEAT 4. This time he started all the way back at P25. This was a messy heat with the Battenburg flag coming out twice slowing the race right down for half of its duration meaning there was not much time to make ground. A good result though managing to gain 13 places to finish in 12th place.
SUNDAY
HEAT 5. This ended up being another poor round, starting in P26 was making good ground only to be driven over recklessly and ending his race heat with rad, exhaust, axle, and steering column damage. DNF
HEAT 6. Starting in P6 This was great to watch with some close racing with number 5 all the way from start to finish just not being able to get past him but gaining one position to finish the heat in 5th place.
All round we did manage to salvage a bit of the weekend and finish in 10th place for the sprint which meant he help on to 3rd place in the years championship table. Brilliant result for the year getting stronger as the season progressed. Looking forward to prepping soon for the start of the new season in September with lots of and testing to be done.
Thoroughly enjoyed this year’s racing going from North to south, east to west of the country in all weathers and looking forward to seeing the race calendar for next season.
Also, a special thank you to our team sponsors who have helped us compete in this year’s journey, we can’t thank you enough for your continued support.
